The whole point of saving up to get ships is so you can use them to do those missions. What you're talking about is the entire core mechanic of the game. It's a shame that if someone asks for help everyone gets butthurt and starts going full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ spouting ♥♥♥♥ like "If you find "griniding missions" to make money is too repetitive and boring, this is not the game for you." Killing Annihilators and Gargantuas takes some time but it's not terribly risky. play pretty aggressively in a Very High risk mission in Mk 6 space without taking any damage to the hull plating. Sturville is still manueverable and tough enough that it's still quite doable to e.g. Switching to a Blackgate would mean even more credits to take advantage of all the turret slots as compensation for being a gigantic slow ship. There's not a huge value for me in switching up to a Minotaur until then, and I need to do more mercenary missions for that anyway. Getting the "deflected explosions recharge my shields lol" component was also pricey. I've only replaced two of four Particle Beam Mk 5 w/ Mk 6s so far (one turret has a Viridian laser Mk 5, unlikely to swap that out for anything but a Mk 6 if I ever find one), and those are expensive (roughly 3.1M each w/ the trade-in, IIRC ~4.6M ea if it were an empty turret slot). Went pretty quickly through Mastodon, Icarus and Tennhausen, but been sticking with the Sturville for a while. Nobody's being unfair, I was just replying to your opinion with one of mine :) no worries here.ĭoes anybody else stick with the same ship for ages?
